Adrián Navarro seeks to expand the vocabulary of the visual arts, investigating new mechanisms of intervention in the pictorial medium, which include tools borrowed from architectural practices. Navarro´s paintings describe implosions of colour trapped inside virtual volumes that float weightlessly in an empty space. His work aims to reaffirm the illusory condition of painting and to explore a certain visual experience: the duality between form as an independent spatial figure and matter as a colourful and organic substance.

Born in the USA (Boston, 1973) and raised in Spain, lives and works in London. In 2001, Navarro started his artistic activity in New York, after graduating from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, School of Architecture. From 2006 he establishes himself in London, where he has completed his art studies in Central Saint Martin´s College of Art & Design (2007-2008). Adrián Navarro has exhibited in several solo and group shows in both cities. His works can be found in art collections such as UBS Bank and Caja Madrid.
